‘Tis the season for celebrating, hosting and gift giving – which usually involves a fair bit of planning and a slight hit on the wallet. So, we thought of sharing three simple but unique beverage recipes that would make the task a little easier as you shine as a host, while using the same base ingredient across the board – Dilmah t-Series Italian Almond Tea. Recipe 1. Almonberry Crème (tea-inspired mocktail)
What you need:
- 250ml Dilmah Italian Almond Tea made with 4g loose leaf / 2 tea bags, brewed for 3 mins (see how to make a perfect brew here)
- 2tsp sugar
- cranberry juice
- coconut milk
- Garnish of your choice – strawberry / candy cane
- Shaker
- Cocktail / martini glass
How to prepare:
- Stir sugar into the brew prepared and refrigerate until completely chilled.
- Pour four parts of the brew with two parts cranberry juice and one part coconut milk in a shaker and shake well.
- Pour into a glass of your choice and garnish.
Recipe 2: Almond Delight (tea-inspired cocktail)
What you need:
- 20ml Dilmah Italian Almond Tea (see how to make a perfect brew here)
- 45ml Bols Corenwyn or any genever / Dutch gin of your choice
- 30ml lime juice
- 1 egg white
- Garnish of your choice – lemon wedge / lime wedge / thyme sprig
- 3-4 ice cubes
- Shaker
- Old-fashioned glass
How to prepare:
- Place all four ingredients in shaker and shake well until combined.
- Pour into glass over ice and garnish.
Recipe 3: Shiny Bells & Candles (tea-inspired mocktail)
What you need:
- 150ml Dilmah Italian Almond Tea, brewed for 3 mins (see how to make a perfect brew here)
- 60ml peach juice
- 60ml orange juice
- 25ml lemon juice
- 30ml sparkling apple juice / apple cider
- 15ml honey
- Fresh fruit of your choice – orange/lemon/apple wedges, grapes
- Pitcher
How to prepare:
1. Pour the brew and remaining five ingredients into pitcher and stir well.
2. Add fresh fruits and refrigerate until it is time to serve.
3. Garnish glass with fresh fruit when serving.
